so i was debating with a jw on youtube the other day, calling out all of the misqoutes and dishonesty in the 32-page "should you believe in the trinity" brochure as the reason this brochure was discontinued and this jw responds: "well we have a new bochure.
it's thinner but it has all the new light.".
has anyone ever heard of this replacement trinity brochure???

My question (in my OP) is this: WAS IT REPLACED BY A THINNER VERSION?
(a JW on YouTube is saying that a thinner brochure has replaced it and I just want to call her bluff since I've nevr heard of this... and apparently no one here has heard of it either... I'll patiently wait a few days before I call her bluff... just want to make certain)

i just got in from my daughters homecoming(she is a cheerleader and these guys make a huge deal out of this stuff).
they play 3 football games of various age groups.
it starts at 8 in the morning and just ended at 1:30. i just got in the house literally 5 minutes ago and i had to share.

went to a bar with a friend a few days ago.. we were sitting in the outside garden and i went back inside to get another round.
on my way back out i passed some tables with a family of about 6 or 7 people sitting and celebrating a birthday.. i overheard the name jehovah mentioned and i stopped and asked if they were witnesses to which one of them replied 'yes'.. we got into conversation about the latest watchtowers and the governing body.
none of them had a clue what i was talking about.. they new nothing of the 8 men brooklyn being the faithful and discreet slave, nothing about c.t russell or rutherford, nothing of how jesus came and selected them as his chosen people in 1914-19, in fact the only thing they knew about 1914 was that that was when the first world war started, nothing about malawi and mexico, never heard of candace conti or any of the sex abuse scandals, nothing about the 2 witness rule, nothing about the elders being chosen by the holy spirit, nothing about 'new light', nothing about the orgs involvement with the un, nothing about the blood fractions changes they knew almost nothing at all about the majority of their own organisations core teachings.
It's OK... I'm just an unbaptized publisher...

so this is the situation..........haven't been to meeting for the past 10 months....misssed dc as well as 2 day assemblies.. i have woken up to the fact that the watchtower is not god's organization so their is absolutely no way iam going.
to give the elders any of my time.
i have no desire to agree to a sherherding call!.
Tell them that 10 months is a long time for a shepherd to start looking for a lost sheep.
Also, ask them if they are genuinely concerned about you or if they are simply expecting the Circuit Overseer's visit soon.
That's a good way to keep them off your door step for a while.
the jws stopped by my house a couple weeks ago on a saturday morning.
i knew that with others most likely waiting for them out in the car they probably did not then have much time to engage in any serious conversation.
so i let them talk while i feigned interest in what they had to say.
JW Elder: "I must get back at Christian Guy... This isn't over."
